Aekyung Chemical Co., Ltd. was established with the merger of Aekyung Fats & Oil Processing Co., Ltd. and the world-famous Japanese firm, Dainippon Ink & Chemical Ind., in 1979.
Since then, it has been specializing in Unsaturated Polyester Resin (UPR), Coating Resin and other related products. Currently, it's UPR not only dominates the domestic market, but is also considered the best in the overseas markets, including Southeast Asia. The manufacturing of coating resin is part of a new project aimed at management diversification, which is expected to contribute greatly to the nation's paint industry in the near future.

With the completion of its second plant in 1992, Aekyung Chemical has assumed a major role in manufacturing composite materials, ranging from special to high-tech, synthetic resin .

UP Resin is used for button, casting, putty and marbles.
UP Resin for FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) is ideal for FRP tanks, fishing boats, septic tanks, etc.

CHARACTERISTICS:

	1)	Easily converts from liquid state to solid state with various curing systems without producing any byproducts.
	2)	Easily molded at room-temperature without the need of additional heating.
	3)	Cured resin exhibits excellent resistance to outdoor weather, rising temperatures, immersion to cold or hot water or exposure to chemicals and is electrically non-conductive.
	4)	The composite of POLYCOAT with glass fiber called FRP is a light, durable and resilient structural material.
	5)	The FRP is suitable for making any types of structural products in various sizes, shapes, thickness and colors.
